The Long Beach, CA Arena, with a capacity 14,500, has become a regular stop during the Grateful Dead Winter tours right before the New Years shows. This year’s three-day run was graced by warm southern California weather. DTV reports on the huge dead village in four city blocks across from the arena, and musical highlights such as the first performance of “Jack-a-roe” since August 1985.
