In September 1988 the Grateful Dead and the deadheads stormed New York City for a record-breaking nine sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden, one of the world’s most famous sports and entertainment venues, which holds 20,000. DTV reports on the sites and sounds outside and inside the venue. The ninth show was a Rainforest benefit for three environmental action organizations.
